Making Investments
Hey you. Tim here. How's it going?
It's late and I've been working all day. Let's get right to it.
Here's to Your Success
1. Get Brian Clark's 30 Page Report - The Killer and the Poet - Brian would kill me if he knew I did this. But, for the last few months, we have been giving away early access to this ground breaking report, written by the legendary Brian Clark. We released the report yesterday, but if you click this link, you can still get the free download.
When I read this report, I was blown away. I was reminded why Brian was my idol for the last 10 years and why I am so thrilled and humbled to be a partner in Copyblogger.
If you want to make money online, this is your best first step.
2. Why the World's Most Confident People Create Alter Egos - Polina Marinova is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers on this internet. In this week's edition of "The Profile," she talks about alter egos.
"Immersing yourself in your feelings can lead to unhealthy mental rumination, so creating a little bit of distance from the self can help us better regulate our emotions. One way people can create a temporary alter ego is through illeism, which is defined as “the act of referring to oneself in the third person.”
3. Why Does Tai Lopez Make Everyone So Angry? - Tai Lopez was a guest on My First Million. I thought the interview was fascinating, so I told Sam (the CEO of The Hustle) that I would do a write up on the episode and give some context.
The article went semi viral on Twitter and I thought it was cool.
There's no question that Tai Lopez is a controversial figure, but I think he loves the attention.
Read of the Week
Good Omens - It feels so good to be reading a fun, enjoyable novel. This book is brilliant. God damn brilliant. (No pun intended). I'm so happy I picked up this book.
Words to Live By
“I don't see what's so terrific about creating people as people and then gettin' upset cos' they act like people", said Adam severely. "Anyway, if you stopped tellin' people it's all sorted out after they're dead, they might try sorting it all out while they're alive.”
Hero of the Week
This week's hero is Matt Kiser. He's the founder of "What the Fuck Just Happened Today", which is a brilliant daily newsletter. However, this Tweet is one of the most honest, genuine and ruthless statements I've ever seen.
Final Thought - Making Investments
In order to get wealthy, you need equity. You need to own something. You need to build something that has scale and creates leverage. You can't get wealthy without making investments.
This week, I want you to take an honest assessment of the investments you are making. Are you investing in your business? In your career? In your health?
Are you spending time and money on your future self?
I hope so.
Love you guys. Talk to you next week.
Stay focused.
